Kristen Herman

​​​Kristen Herman is a Director in the firm's Risk and Compliance Services (RCS) Group, with more than 15 years of experience in risk advisory, internal audit, and SOX compliance. She has experience working with various industries, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, insurance, health care, banking, technology, not-for-profit, and financial services. Kristen has worked with publicly traded SOX 404a and 404b clients as well as privately held companies.   

​​When leading her engagements, Kristen takes a risk-based approach to identifying risks and works with management to develop or identify internal controls that mitigate those risks. She assists clients with preparing risk assessments, developing business process documentation, including narratives and flowcharts, and identifying key risks and controls. Kristen works with clients to ensure that controls are appropriately designed and develops tailored testing procedures. Kristen and her team perform operating effectiveness testing to confirm the controls are operating as designed and provide testing results, including observations and value-added recommendations. Kristen’s diverse background allows her to develop customized solutions for clients. 

​​Kristen’s experience also includes assisting clients with new system implementations, developing or reviewing policies and procedures, and streamlining processes.  ​​
