Laura Katz is a Senior Manager in the firm’s Advisory Services Group. With nearly 15 years of experience, including 6 years managing an extensive Superstorm Sandy recovery program, Laura specializes in disaster recovery and CDBG-DR grant management.
Laura has deep knowledge of the full grant lifecycle, from pre-award to closeout, and is experienced with both large and small grants. She is proficient in CDBG-DR and cross-cutting regulations and advises on policy, eligibility, HUD audit preparation, program design and implementation, and overall grant management.
Laura is also a skilled policy advisor and has advised elected officials, agencies, and organizations on a variety of issues, including land use, housing, environment, and early childhood education. This experience allows Laura to create impactful policies and programs and develop creative solutions to compliance challenges.
Prior to joining the firm, Laura was the policy director for a state CDBG-DR grantee.
